I am Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Maddekar, a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Pulmonologist with over 22 years of UK clinical experience. I currently practise at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital of Birmingham, one of the largest tertiary NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom. I hold a dual CCT in Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine, awarded by the London Deanery, and I completed my specialist registrar training at world-renowned institutions including Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital and King's College Hospital, London.
Throughout my career I have led pleural disease services, fast-track lung cancer diagnostic pathways and NIHR research trials with publications in The Lancet and the European Respiratory Journal. I strongly believe that exceptional respiratory care begins with truly listening to each patient, understanding their concerns and providing a clear, personalised treatment plan that delivers real answers and meaningful improvement in quality of life.

You can self-refer or be referred by your GP. Simply contact the clinic by phone, email or online booking form to arrange your private consultation at a time convenient for you.
Dr. Maddekar will conduct a thorough clinical assessment, review all previous investigations and scans, and provide a clear explanation of your symptoms along with an initial diagnosis or investigation plan.
Where required, Dr. Maddekar will arrange appropriate tests including lung function testing, CT or PET-CT imaging, sleep studies, bronchoscopy or EBUS, coordinating all results efficiently on your behalf.
A personalised, evidence-based treatment plan will be provided. Dr. Maddekar will monitor your progress closely, adjust your care as needed and ensure you feel fully supported throughout your treatment journey.
